    R. Michelle Sauer, PhD, ELS, CRA
    Dr. R. Michelle Sauer completed her graduate education at Texas A&M University in microbiology/genetics and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine before transitioning to medical communication. She attained her certification as an Editor in the Life Science (ELS) and as a Research Administrator (CRA). She has worked in academia since 2009 and in freelance (co-owner of a consulting company that focuses on STEM research, RnA Editing, LLC) since 2011. Currently, Michelle works as the Senior Research Scientist for the Center for Advanced Heart Failure at UTHealth, where she writes, edits and manages publications and grants.
